The bad news about our run at Rockford is that we did not
get Mikie into the feature event, but the good news is that
we were spared the carnage of running #13 in a feature that
took on the character of a destruction derby. We cut down
a tire in the 1st. heat race and lost our stagger setup with
the replacement tire we had to use. With a poorly handling
race car Mikie just could not do well enough in the last
chance race to transfer to the feature race.
